Breast Milk Jewelry-Making Kit: Video and Step-by-Step Instructions

You can also follow the step-by-step instructions below as you navigate your kit and create your perfect piece of unique breastmilk jewelry.
Before you get started, remember to read all the instructions carefully! Keep all packaging and materials out of the reach of children, and please wear a mask and protective gloves if you are sensitive to smell or epoxy, or would prefer to take extra precautions during the process.
Part 1 — Preserve Your Breast Milk by Turning It into Powder
Part 1 will take about 15-20 minutes

- Heat the milk in your pan on your stove for a few moments.
- Add the entire packet of the milk preservation powder.
- Mix slowly until it reaches a paste-like consistency.
- Spread the paste evenly onto the parchment paper. Then store it in a safe place until it dries.
Each kit comes with step-by-step-instructions that explain the process in more specific detail, but basically, that’s it for Day One! You’ll have to wait around 48 hours—which is honestly probably the hardest part—before crushing the milk into powder.
- Once the drying process is complete, grind the preserved breast milk into a fine dust using your mortar and pestle, or the back of a spoon. Continue the process until you’re left with a fine powder, then scoop the powder into the provided cup and set aside.
Part 2 — Use Your DIY Kit to Make a Breastmilk Stone
- Set up your jewelry and all of your supplies.
- Mix Part A and Part B slowly for 2 minutes.
- Let the mixture stand for 3-5 minutes.
- Add your breast milk powder to the resin.
- Add any inclusions you want (we provide pearl shimmer, white pigment, and opal flakes), but you can add any other flakes you want, which you can buy on Amazon!
- Using our mixing tools, slowly drip the resin/milk mixture into the jewelry setting/cup; keep filling it up until it creates a slight dome effect.
- Let it stand for a few minutes, then you can use a small torch or the straw provided to get rid of bubbles that may rise to the top.
- Let your jewelry sit in a safe place for about 24 hours.
- Store leftover dried breast milk in the small bottle provided. Use a funnel to carefully pour the dried milk into the small bottle.
